Get your summer fruits and veggies

Vintage Hobby Farm, East Troy, 684-5135, www.vintagehobbyfarm.com, announces its availability of 10 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscriptions, heritage breed chickens and turkeys, Scottish highland cattle and farm fresh eggs this summer. They are a farm that believes in bringing heritage breeds back into farming and keeping the dream of a farming family alive.

People realize the importance of eating fresh locally grown foods and that supporting local farms creates healthy communities, healthy bodies and gives back to the earth.

A CSA is a way for families and individuals to become shareholders in a local farm for a season. Each shareholder receives 10-15 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables every week in exchange for their financial support. The remainder of produce along with one garden will be donated to local food pantries and elderly families not able to garden anymore.
