Elkhorn tourism center seeks greeters

The Walworth County Visitors Bureau and the Elkhorn Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Center will be opening a county-wide Visitors Center in Elkhorn.

The center will be located in the old Uncle Hunk's Junk building at 203 E. Walworth St, Elkhorn, and open for business Friday, Feb. 1.

The two organizations are looking for volunteers to help staff the Visitors Center during the workday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

They are looking for volunteers who would be willing to work one three-hour shift per week.

Volunteers will be responsible for greeting visitors as they come into the center and helping them find the information they are looking for.

Volunteers will also be doing light office work, such as filling brochure racks and ordering brochures.

Other duties may include assisting the organizations with mailings, filing, data entry and special projects.
