"Structuring Your Business for Growth" will be the initial topic presented on Jan. 9, 2008, covering entity selection, buy/sell and owner agreements and other tax considerations.
"Protecting Your Business," Feb. 13, 2008, is the next step. Employment and other contracts, confidentiality agreements, trade secrets and an overview of intellectual property will be discussed.
"Financing Your Business, Funding and Collections," March 12, 2008, will investigate options for funding through loans and how to collect what is owed to you.
"The Basics of Employment," April 9, 2008, will cover an introduction to unemployment, worker's compensation, workplace harassment, with the last half hour devoted to businesses with 50 or more employees and FMLA.
Lastly, "Moving On," May 14, 2008, will examine how to get out of the business you created by sale, dissolution, merger or succession.
