Christmas exhibit benefits Women's Association

Yoder's Fine Furniture and Gifts, 1950 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, 723-3200, hosts its Woodland Christmas exhibition which features a wide variety of rustic, woodland holiday gifts and decorations for your home including ornaments, woodsmen Santas and much more.

Come see the holiday-themed tables and enjoy viewing the handcrafted fine furniture for which Yoder's is known. For those wanting early shopping to get the best selection, Yoder's invites you to come to its charity Preview Party benefiting the Geneva Lake Women's Association (GLWA) on Nov. 16, 6-9 p.m. The elegant evening will include a Sonoma Cellars Wine Tasting, make-your-own centerpiece workshop, holiday music and more. Twenty percent of all proceeds go directly to the Geneva Lake Women's Association to support this non-profit organization's community service projects in Walworth County.

"Geneva Lake Women's Association helps many people in the Walworth County area especially during the holiday season," said Katie Mangan, owner, in a news release. "In keeping with the giving holiday spirit Yoder's is committed to help them help others by hosting this benefit event."

Since 1964, the Geneva Lake Women's Association has been an active social service organization bringing together nearly 100 women of greater Walworth County with diverse backgrounds and unique talents. The organization addresses the critical needs of the community and people of greater Walworth County through direct service projects and financial contributions. Throughout its history, GLWA members have been innovators in developing and administering programs to answer the needs and issues facing the greater Walworth County community including Meals on Wheels, Safety Town, Buckle Up Babe, Children's Art Show and many more .

"The Geneva Lake Women's Association is grateful to Yoder's for hosting this festive fundraising event," said Janis Hartley, GLWA president. "I encourage everyone to come and enjoy, knowing that 20 percent of the sales from the evening go to support Walworth County's critical community needs."
