Fort HealthCare wins statewide awards

Excellence in public relations and marketing honored

The Marketing Services department at Fort HealthCare, 426 McMillen St. Fort Atkinson, (920) 563-6667, received four awards of merit, one award of excellence and a judge's choice award at the annual conference of the Wisconsin Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (WHPRMS). The conference was held in Green Lake, Wis. on Oct. 4 -6.

Receiving awards of merit were a radio advertisement for Fort HealthCare Spectrum Eye and Optical titled Drivers Ed., two Fort HealthCare television advertisements, "Friends" and "Neighbors,and the "Get to know us. Well" total advertising campaign which featured print, television and radio media.

The "Get to know us. Well" print advertising campaign received an award of excellence. The print advertisements were also selected as a recipient of one of five judge's choice awards, selected from the award of excellence winners.

WHPRMS developed the communications review awards program in 1971 to recognize excellence and superior accomplishment in health-care public relations and marketing. The communications review awards program was one of the first of its kind in the country and today is widely recognized by health-are communicators for its quality and credibility.

In May, Fort HealthCare's marketing efforts were recognized by the nationally distributed Healthcare Marketing Report magazine. The magazine's health-are marketing awards competition is the largest of its kind in the nation and had a record 3,900 entries in 2006. Fort HealthCare received two merit awards and two gold awards.
