A fundraiser will be held for Ann and Ira Cheney Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Delavan Community Park, Highway 50 and South Shore Drive, from 6-11 p.m.
Ann, 44, of Briarwood Road, Elkhorn, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee following a very short battle with ovarian cancer.
Her two months of care in the hospital included two surgeries and extensive time in intensive care. Co-workers and friends are organizing the benefit that will help Ann’s husband, Ira, pay medical bills.
Food, soda and entertainment will be available for all who attend. A $10 donation is requested per person. The event will also include raffles, other beverages and a DJ.
