Seminar to discuss open meetings law

The Elkhorn law firm of Godfrey, Leibsle, Blackbourn and Howarth is conducting an open meetings seminar Oct. 30 on "how not to get in trouble" when it comes to fulfilling open meeting requirements.

The free seminar is aimed at governmental bodies, government corporations and quasi-governmental corporations. Attorneys Kim Howarth and Chris Halverson will discuss the context and implications of Wisconsin's open meetings law, as well as three appellate court decisions that impact application of the law.

The meeting is held from 8-9:30 a.m. in the Palmer Room of the Geneva National Golf Club Clubhouse, 1221 Geneva National Avenue South, Lake Geneva. Reserve a spot by calling (262) 741-1519 no later than Oct. 26.
