Have unpaid property taxes still lingering?
Walworth County taxpayers have until Tuesday, July 31, to make their second installment for 2006 real estate taxes.
Payments made or postmarked after July 31 will be delinquent and subject to interest and penalty at the rate of 1.5 percent calculated from Feb. 1.
Payments may be mailed, paid in person at the treasurer's office or dropped on the drive-up box.
The office and drop box are at the Walworth County Government Center, 100 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn. The office is in room 103. The drop box is in the north parking lot and is available for checks or money orders only.
Mailed payments should be sent to: Walworth County Treasurer, PO Box 1001, Elkhorn, WI, 53121.
