The board of directors of Central Printing, 735 Sugar Creek Road, Delavan, 728-4231, has started a $200,000 expansion which includes the installation of a digital printing press and supporting equipment.
The digital press, a Xerox Docucolor 5000, is reported to provide a quick turnaround on short-run print jobs. The company states that this newer technology provides a print quality that rivals that of lithographic-quality printing techniques.
"We are very excited to offer this service to our customers," said Tom Monien, president, in a news release. "This new press will provide an affordable solution to producing high-quality print jobs in small quantities."
Central Printing has been a fixture in Walworth County since it began in 1968. The company currently employs 40 full-time employees and intends on adding four more staff members this year. The company projects sales in excess of $4 million for 2007.
