A three-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Highway 50 left a Lake Geneva man dead.

Robert D. Castleman, 65, died at the scene near Interlaken Drive, according to the Town of Geneva Police Department.

He was turning onto Highway 50 about 1:30 p.m. and was struck broadside by a westbound pickup truck towing a horse trailer. His car was pushed into the adjoining lane and struck by a dump truck, also towing a trailer, according to police.

Pickup truck driver Cindy S. Bonamarte, 44, of Lake Geneva, and dump truck driver Nicholas J. Larson, 43, of Lake Geneva, were uninjured.

A passenger in the dump truck, Juan Victor Escobar Lopez, 19, of Lake Geneva, was also uninjured.

The accident is still being investigated. Charges of driving without a commercial drivers license for both Bonamarte and Larson were forwarded to the district attorney's office for review, according to police.
