In an effort to increase dialogue with local residents, Delavan Second District alders are hosting an opportunity for residents to offer their input at an informal gathering.
Alderpersons want to know what residents are thinking about issues that affect the city and to share information about the future plans for Delavan with its citizens.
This month's suggested topic will focus on streets, covering topics such as where streets are on the list of priorities, how much property owners will have to contribute to the project and what kind of repair streets require.
Alderpersons Dave Kilkenny and Ellen Reddy will be hosting this event.
Kilkenny is city council president and a member of the public works committee.
Public works oversees the scheduling of road repairs.
This listening session will be held at the Delavan Community Bank's Community Centre, located at 830 East Geneva St., on Saturday, June 2, from 9-10 a.m. Refreshments will be provided. Kilkenny and Reddy hope that these gatherings continue on a regular basis in order to disseminate more information to the public.
For more information call Reddy at 728-6518.
