Adam W. Nietfeldt, 34, of 602 Arnold Ave., failed sobriety tests when he was pulled over April 12 in the town of Sugar Creek, according to court records.

He has been arrested five times in the 1990s, dating back to 1993, and in 2000, 2004 and 2005.

Nietfeldt has been no stranger to the court system. He served a year in prison after a 2001 conviction of battery to an officer.

One of his drunk driving convictions had an added penalty because he injured someone, according to court records.

Nietfeldt also has several drug convictions, court records show.

He has a preliminary hearing on May 24.
