Members of the Walworth County Fugitive Task Force captured a man about midnight Monday wanted for fleeing the scene of an accident that left two Burlington residents hospitalized.
According to the sheriff's department, Christopher M. Driscoll, 28, of Lake Geneva, collided head-on with Sylvester J. Czerwinski, 52, and Kathleen M. Czerwinski, 55, about 5:35 p.m. Saturday at Highway 120 and Krueger Road in Lyons.
As officers arrived and gave first aid to the Czerwinskis, Driscoll left the scene on foot, leaving his 2003 GMC utility pickup truck behind.
Both Czerwinskis were hospitalized. Kathleen suffered multiple broken bones. Her condition is unknown. Sylvester was treated and released.
Police unsuccessfully used the K-9 unit to try and locate Driscoll that night. He was apprehended Monday at private residence in the town of Delavan, Undersheriff Kurt Picknell said.
He faces potential charges of felony hit and run causing injury and driving without a license causing great bodily harm. He also received four related traffic citations.
Driscoll had seven outstanding warrants for his arrest and remains in Walworth County jail in lieu of almost $14,000 bond.
