Come for the connection and fun, stay for the information and inspiration at the 3nd annual Women's Resource Fair March 9-10.

This year's theme is "Finding Balance."

The Women's Resource Fair will be held at Gilbert's Restaurant and Bella Vista Suites, 327 Wrigley Dr., Lake Geneva, Friday, March 9, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

n Humorist, author and "Sylvia" syndicated cartoonist Nicole Hollander will present the keynote address Friday, "Aging Gracefully ... From the Planet Denial."

Her humorous monologue will be performed on Friday, March 9 beginning at 4:30 p.m. followed by a reception and book signing with Hollander until 6 p.m. Her cartoon strip "Sylvia" appears nationwide in over 80 newspapers.

She has published numerous collections of her cartoons and books, hilariously and truthfully recounting women's life from questionable boyfriends and cats to bad hair days and more.

Tickets for this limited-seating performance of "Aging Gracefully...From the Planet Denial" are $20, which includes entry to the fair and wine reception.

On Saturday, March 10, at 9:30 a.m. Hollander will lead an hour-long workshop combining writing and drawing. Participants will work on writing their own version of "My Worst Boyfriend and I Take a Vacation."

She reminds attendees that their story need not be factual; in fact, it is better if its not. The second half of the workshop will be devoted to creating an empathic self portrait, a second drawing of themselves the way they wish they were.

Pre-registration is required and space limited. Workshop cost is $25 which includes entry to the fair.

n On Friday, March 9, women are invited to gather from 4-6 p.m. at the fair for its women's gathering "Wine, Women and Laughter" sponsored by Global Gourmet and the Lake Geneva Wine Festival.

Come sample delicious organic foods and wines while discovering all the fair has to offer.
