Volunteers needed for Special Olympics basketball

On Sunday, March 11, you can help inspire greatness by volunteering for the Special Olympics Basketball Skills Tournament being held at Badger High School, Lake Geneva.

Make this event possible for over 150 Special Olympics athletes from Racine, Kenosha, Jefferson, Walworth, and Rock counties.

No sports background or previous experience working with persons with cognitive disabilities is necessary.

Volunteers are needed from noon-4 p.m.

Volunteer duties include set-up (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) scoring/timing, escorting athletes, skill demonstration, or being a skill station official. Special Olympics Southeastern Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and competition to persons with a cognitive disability 8 years of age or older, residing in Racine, Kenosha, Jefferson, Walworth, and Rock counties.
