Friday's rematch between Whitewater and Delavan-Darien in a Southern Lakes Conference girls' basketball game may not be the last time the two teams see each other this season.
The Comets and Whippets are on a collision course to meet in the WIAA state basketball playoffs regional final March 1, if both teams advance that far.
Neither team should look too far ahead however, because both could face a Walworth County foe in Thursday's Round 1 game.
The winner of Tuesday's Big Foot, Union Grove game will travel to Delavan-Darien to face the Comets, while the winner of the East Troy, Whitnall game had to Whitewater.
