A monk's embrace, and a march for a free Tibet
John Halverson writes about speding time with Palden Gyatso, left, a 77-year-old Buddhist monk who is determined that Tibet will some day be independent from China.The monk was part of a group of marchers who made their way through Walworth County this week on their way to Chicago.

John Halvorson did an excellent job of putting into words what I felt each time I met Palden Gyatso, the Tibetan monk during his stay in Elkhorn. I read several of the paragraphs from John's article during the announcements at church this week and we were all moved by John's article.
