Raid on Whitewater business sparks conflicting emotions

The owner of a Whitewater business raided by local police and federal immigration officials encouraged his workers to use fake names and Social Security numbers. (story)

But Allen Petrie had no good choices when Whitewater police started investigating his business, Star Packaging, his defense attorney says. (story)

Caught up in the case are the families of the immigrants arrested following the raid, and efforts by local churches to help the workers.
